Reflection on Week 1

With the help of Grammy and Grampy Layton, who came all the way from New Jersey to stay with us, we made it through the first week. We came home last Wednesday and Xander adjusted just great to his new surroundings. From the first night, he has slept like a champ and mom is having to wake him up just to feed him, then back to sleep he goes. Paisley is starting to adjust to having a new person among us and it is so cute how she gets excited when Xander comes around and just wants to touch him...of course every now and then the touching becomes hitting...but she's learning. Paisley did become a little sick and we had our first long night with only about two hours of sleep on Monday. She saw the doctor and was told she had an ear infection...still with her aching ear there has been no stopping her spunky little self from dancing around and yelling for "Sadie" (our dog). Life is great and what a blessing it is to have two beautiful children to call your own. We look forward to all the many moments to come...

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends...your thoughts and prayers have been so appreciated...words will never be able to express our gratitude so i'll just leave you with a thank you...from the bottom of our hearts.
